Vitalograph's asmaPLAN+ Peak Flow Meter is the only peak flow meter available that includes an 'Action Plan' label, located right on the back of the device. This label can be completed by your physician and will then remind you of actions necessary when peak flow readings drop. On the front are patented, adjustable, colored band markers which allow for each unit to be customized for your individual flow readings. You adjust the colored bands based upon your own personal best peak flow readings. When you blow in the green band area, all is well. If you drop into the yellow, you may need to take preventive actions. When your best blow is in the red, it indicates a severe airway restriction is beginning and immediate action is required.
